Covid - 19 Update

Dear friends and colleagues

On behalf of every member of the Destinations Alliance our continued thoughts are with those impacted by COVID-19, their colleagues, friends and family.

Whilst the last year has been the hardest this industry has faced, it’s also been the most heartening. They say you know who your friends are when times are tough by who is standing next to you. We have all had to rally our teams and deliver some tough messages, putting all that hard fought momentum we’d built as an industry to one side to address a downside scenario. 

We will continue to support event businesses and individuals in the way we do best; an open ear, hard work and hopefully some wise words. And as we move forward through these uncertain times, one thing already said by many remains clear – we are strongest when we stand and work together. As an industry and as events destinations we have proven this time and again. We will be using the coming weeks to prepare for what comes next, to work on creative and collaborative ideas so that what we can offer you in the future is even better.

If you have any questions about the current situation in any of our destinations, please do feel free to reach out - we are here to assist in any way possible. Our services are free and factual. There is a lot of outdated information in the industry media and as tourist boards we are best placed to advise you now and in the future as to when our cities, hotels, attractions and centres emerge from this hiatus and can once again can be the backdrop to the power that only face to face live events deliver.
